Frihamnen and West Coast Week
Frihamnen receives a visit from the West Coast Week (Västerhavsveckan). Some of the activities can be done without knowing Swedish.
On August 11th, the West Coast Week offers an exciting program in Frihamnen, for both children and adults.
There will be activities throughout the day. Can the sturgeon return to the Göta River? Meet the mythical fish. Discover the marine allotment, visit the Transition Lab, try sport fishing, talk to researchers, learn to distinguish between different crabs, and much more.
SLS Göteborg, the Swedish Lifesaving Society Göteborg, is on site with information about water safety. Try lifesaving exercises and CPR or take a quiz walk about bathing and boating etiquette.
Havsverkstan is on site with exhibition, experiments, marine plants, and animals. Participate in citizen science and help preserve biodiversity.
