Forskningsområde / forskningsintresse

Jag är involverad i stora delar av ISM:s forskning som innebär att jag arbetar med forskning avseende ett främjande, förebyggande och behandlande perspektiv på stress samt bakomliggande biologiska mekanismer till stressrelaterad ohälsa. Jag är projektledare för ORK-studien, en omfattande studie som handlar om att öka kunskapen om utmattningssyndrom utifrån flera olika perspektiv. Ett av mina huvudintressen är att på strukturerat sätt kunna förklara utmattningssyndromets utveckling, karaktär och biologiska mekanismer. Ett annat huvudintresse är forskningen om arbetsplatsens betydelse för den stressrelaterade ohälsan samt perspektivförflyttning från att enbart fokusera på individen till att även fokusera på organisationen.

Undervisning/ handledning

Kunskapsspridning är en viktig del av forskningen. Föreläser i de sammanhang där jag tycker det är viktigt att sprida kunskap. Adjungerad som Professor i folkhälsa vid Avdelningen för samhällsmedicin och folkhälsa, Institutionen för medicin, Sahlgrenska akademin vid Göteborgs universitet och deltar i forskning och undervisning vid avdelningen. Har handlett sex doktorander till disputation och handleder för närvarande två doktorander.
