Claudia Klingenschmid (Heidelberg, Tyskland)

Claudia Klingenschmid har studerat psykologi, teater och litteratur i Innsbruck, Österrike och i München, Tyskland. Hon har arbetat inom olika konstnärliga områden, såsom inom performance, sjukhusclowneri, urban konst och på tryckeri. Efter att ha publicerat essäer, dikter och noveller kom hennes första roman ut 2019 (Parasit ToGo / Piper Verlag). Hon har bott i olika europeiska städer och i USA och bor för närvarande i Heidelberg I Tyskland. Hon är medlem i Grazer Wortlabor och är en del av Heidelberger Autor:innen-Netzwerk. För sin novell Gemüse für die Ewigkeit belönades hon med RCB:s europeiska litteraturpris.

I oktober och november 2022 kommer hon att vara stipendiat i Kungälv. Hennes arbete under residenset ska fokusera på en novellsamling om simning.

Claudia Klingenschmid studied psychology, theatre and literature in Innsbruck / Austria and Munich / Germany. She has worked in various artistic fields, including performance, hospital clowning, urban art and printing. After publishing essays, poems and short stories, her first novel came out in 2019 (Parasit ToGo / Piper Verlag). She has lived in different European cities and the US, and is currently living in Heidelberg / Germany. She is member of the Grazer Wortlabor and part of the Heidelberger Autor:innen-Netzwerk. For her short story »Gemüse für die Ewigkeit«, she was awarded the RCB European Literature Prize.

In October and November 2022 she will be writer in residence in Kungälv. Her work here focuses on a short story collection about swimming.
