Hospital regulations
To ensure a safe and secure environment at the hospital, there are regulations that must be followed.
- The hospital is not a public place.
- The general opening hours for visitors and relatives is 07.00 am to 08.00 pm (the emergency room is open around the clock).
- The hospital does not tolerate discrimination, violence and threats.
- In order to maintain a calm care environment, the nursing staff may limit the amount of visitors to the care units. The recommended maximal number of visitors at a time for one patient is three or less. Related parties are expected not to disturb the care work. The care and needs of our patients must always be in priority.
- The hospital staff have the right to:
- dismiss people who don't have an actual errand to the hospital area.
- dismiss visitors and relatives who are being disruptive, disorderly or threatening.
- ask people to clear the entrances and other facilities in the hospital area.
- call the police for immediate assistance to remove disturbing people.
- Photographing and filming in the hospital area requires special permission. This permission regards cameras as well as cellphones and other devices that contains all types of cameras.
- Weapons are not allowed in the hospital area.
- Alcohol consumption is not allowed in the hospital area.
- Smoking is not allowed in the hospital area. That includes the use of e-cigarettes.
- Animals are not allowed inside the hospital area. Exceptions are made for dogs needed in assistance, and dogs used in professional practice.
- No activities except the activities of Region Västra Götaland, or other contracted activities, may be conducted within the hospital area without special permission.
